"Beyond the Game: Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Support for the 21st-Century Athlete"
As the pressures on today’s athletes intensify—both on and off the field—coaches and sports professionals play a crucial role in recognizing and responding to mental health challenges, including the risk of suicide. This seminar equips attendees with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to proactively support the emotional well-being of 21st-century athletes in a high-performance culture.
Through a blend of evidence-based research, case studies, and real-world strategies, participants will learn how to identify warning signs, foster psychologically safe environments, and intervene effectively when athletes may be struggling. The seminar also explores the unique stressors faced by modern athletes, including identity issues, social media pressure, injury-related depression, and performance anxiety.
This is not just a conversation—it’s a call to action for coaches and managers to become frontline advocates for athlete mental health and suicide prevention.
