Kimberly Collier
"Attitude & Success"
If an individual’s attitude is not positively managed, it can make it very difficult to be successful in life and hinder progression of one’s future. This presentation will focus on how attitude and success are related to one another. Participants will learn factors that play a part in one’s attitude and how those factors can have either a positive or negative influence in their success. Participants will also learn the components of the first impression model and how attitude is included is this model. Furthermore, participants will be asked to self-reflect to determine if they practice having a positive attitude and if not how to working toward achieving this goal to prevent this being a barrier to their success in the future. If time permits, participants will be asked to complete an individual or group activity related to topic. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions or offer comments at the end of the presentation.
BIOGRAPHPY
Ms. Kimberly Collier is a native of Huntsville, Alabama and a two-time graduate of Alabama A&M University. In her past career, she has dedicated 15 years to working in the public school setting working with early childhood students, elementary students, middle school students and high school students. She has worked in multiple capacities with children and youth over the span of her career, which demonstrates her special love and passion for this population. Ms. Collier is a first-generation college student within her family and has always been a passionate individual about her own education, which is why she works hard to instill the importance of education into the youth of today. She strives daily to be a positive example and role model to the next generation.
Giving back to the community through volunteer service is something Kimberly has dedicated herself to for many years in various capacities such as serving the youth, our veterans, and even the elderly. She has received “Employee of The Month” recognition from previous employers for her work performance in which she was featured in their employee newsletter. She also was recognized by and featured in Huntsville’s very own local “256 Magazine” for their “Faces Under 40” edition in 2021. In her spare time, she enjoys crafting, watching sports, traveling, exercising, teaching fitness classes, going to church, serving in ministry, and spending time with family & friends.
